Eight Indians found unconscious at Daman-based resort die

KATHMANDU: Eight Indian tourists who were found unconscious at Everest Panaroma Resort based at Daman in Thaha Municipality in Makwanpur district have died.
The tourists – four men and four women – who were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment on Tuesday morning passed away in the course treatment at Hams Hospital Dhumbarahi.
They were found unconscious in two rooms of the resort this morning. According to SP Sushil Singh Rathore, they were fine when they went to bed on Monday evening. They had slept in two rooms of the resort.
Police have suspected gas heater lit to ward off cold at night behind their unconsciousness.
SP Rathor said they are investigating the case.
Meanwhile, Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has expressed concerns over the incident.
